Your Natural Learner: Nature Based Experiential Learning

Your Natural Learner offers a wide range of various nature-based curriculum that contains engaging daily activities, which educates curious children through first-hand experiences of science experience, math explorations, and literature activities. As a former educator in city public schools, Leah McDermott, found very quickly in her career that students have very little interaction with nature and quality literature. Therefore, she dedicates her time to creating nature-based curriculum. While many educational resources depend on the virtual aspect of learning through video and worksheets, "Your Natural Learner" primarily focuses its curriculum on nature-based daily activities in the outdoors. The vast booklets contain various nature topics which parents can choose to focus on a specific interest their child has. "Your Natural Learner" contain various nature-based curriculum booklets which have daily activities to actively engage students. Parents can choose to follow the set month schedule in each booklet to plan the various topics each child will do., Parents love how it actively engages their Kindergarden- 2nd grade child in various nature topics that they are interested in, while still including fundamental mathematics, literature, and science concepts with outdoors learning. The vast amount of booklets containing various topics allows families to choose a curriculum their child is interested in. Some families see that the booklets are not adaptive to specific child's needs and are more focused on providing a general learning curriculum for all students. It is most likely not suited for children not interested in nature or who have special needs. It's extremely important to pick a specific booklet about nature that a child will be interested in.
