Getty-Dubay Italic : Comprehensive alternative to traditional handwriting approach

The Getty-Dubay Italic Handwriting Series is a program to help students improve their handwriting through series of practice materials, guides, and tips. This handwriting program is split up into 7 different books with easy step-by-step instructions to help students learn. They also provide an instruction manual for parents and teachers to supply additional guidance to their students. Getty-Dubay Italic was founded by Inga Dubay and Barbara Getty with the mission of creating an alternative option to the traditional handwriting program schools taught. Their program has since been adopted by a variety of schools around the world. Parents purchase the handwriting books and optional instruction manuals. Students learn through series of handwriting activities and detailed instructions. Many parents like how comprehensive the book is: many students can work independently if they are capable of reading instructions. They have seen significant improvements in their student's penmanship. Some parents didn't like how there were no practices for writing scriptures. They had to create their own scripture work pages for their child.
