Getty Dubay

For an easy to use, structured and developmentally appropriate handwriting series that easily guides learners from print to cursive, we recommend the Getty-Dubay Handwriting Series. The Getty-Dubay Handwriting system provides a seamless transition from print to cursive and incorporates the "Look, Plan, Practice" approach for ongoing student self-assessment. It was inspired by methods used in calligraphy. Getty-Dubay Handwriting uses a series of workbooks for first italics and then cursive handwriting, which introduce the concept and allow for practice and self-assessment. Parents love the minimal time needed for both preparation and completion, as well as the ease of transition from print to cursive. This is a good choice for all learners, especially those who may have struggled with handwriting in the past. Some parents with multiple children don't like the consumable nature of the books, while others found the lessons to dry or easy.
