Evan Moor: Learning workbooks aligned with state standards

Evan Moor publishes workbooks of all subjects that align with state standards, in easy digestible chunks so students won't feel overwhelmed. Evan Moor started when two teachers wanted to create books to motivate struggling students in their classrooms. They created these workbooks for their students and eventually tried to publish them so other students could also use their creations.. Evan Moor provides workbooks in reading, language, writing, math, science, history, and art & crafts for K-6 students. These books are paced in short 1-2 page per day sections so that students can focus and absorb the information and refine what they have learned. They use plenty of pictures and visual examples to help students understand concepts. . Parents can purchase their workbooks or print out some of their free resources for their children to complete. The student should ideally be familiar with the concepts and the workbook acts as additional practice for them., Parents and teachers seem to love how many subjects their books cover and especially love the art and writing programs. Some people really enjoy the pacing and how organized the books are, allowing their children to learn without feeling overwhelmed., Students need to be willing to complete the assignments. If students are already being assigned homework, these workbooks could feel like a chore to students., Parents should definitely try out the free resources they have and if their students are engaged, try purchasing a book. Try to figure out what subjects works best for your student, and help them if they get stuck. Try to teach them concepts they might be unfamiliar with. .

My name is Elvin J Lin and grew up in El Monte, California. I recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and want to pursue a career in teaching. One of my dreams is to be the teacher that has a lasting impact on my students on their educational journey. Some of my hobbies are cooking new recipes and eating tasty foods, as well as gaming. I enjoy bonding over interests that my students enjoy talking about and just being able to see the excitement in them as we talk about the things they love.
