Learn more about our free homeschooling curriculum planner

This free curriculum planner is designed to help you find high quality, secular homeschooling materials for your PreK-12th grade child. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we discovered that many families were having difficulty finding high quality, secular resources for learning from home. Our team of teachers and homeschooling families got to work and pored over thousands of curriculum recommendations in secular homeschooling groups. We paid special attention to recommendations from parents who were also teachers. We then vetted these resources to determine that they were secular, mastery-based and rooted in scientific understanding. Once our teachers and child life specialists had approved materials, we tested them with our own students at Modulo to ensure that they were fun, engaging and got results. We conducted dozens of interviews with families to recommend curriculum to them based on their child’s learning preferences, special needs and their preferences around screen time, cost, parent/caregiver involvement. Eventually, we found that using the same set of questions, we were able to recommend resources that families and kids consistently loved. Today, you can use the curriculum planner for recommendations on a complete (all-in-one) curriculum and a math and literacy supplement. We are in the process of adding electives such as coding and music. The curriculum planner is 100% free and we don’t even require you to give us your email. However, we would love it if you could take a moment at the end of the process to give us feedback and recommendations on how we can improve and subjects you’d like to see us add. Thanks for giving this a try and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
