Oak Meadow

For an engaging but rigorous curriculum for home school children, we recommend Oak Meadow curriculum. Oak Meadow curriculum is a mastery-based curriculum that incorporates various forms of learning media to ensure students engage with the material. "Founded in 1975, Oak Meadow provides a flexible, progressive education for independent learners in kindergarten to grade 12." It draws on hands-on exercises, projects, workbooks to ensure students gain the understanding and skills from various subjects. Parents love the engagement and successfulness of the curriculum. Others enjoy the flexibility of the curriculum. Certain parents believe that the curriculum is a bit too pricey for them while others believe that there are enough faults including faulty mistakes to not recommend the program to others.

Grades: Elementary to high school

Cost: The curriculum varies for grade level and on the duration of the curriculum for the child. But for a full year (10 months), it ranges from $2700 for K-4 to $1800 for high school students.
