Barton Reading and Spelling System : Orton-Gillingham video-based learning system

Barton Reading and Spelling System is a tutoring system designed to help people with dyslexia or learning challenges. The Barton System offers tutor training DVDs with hours of instruction on how to complete each lesson. These lessons help students develop reading, spelling, and writing skills in an organized and systematic matter. Barton Reading and Spelling System was created by Susan Barton to help children with learning challenges or dyslexia keep up in their classes. Children complete lessons and activities in a series of 10 different levels. Students advance through these levels one at a time and parents are provided with a tutor training DVD, a tutor manual, color-coded letter tiles, and more. Students usually get supplementary tutoring to the Barton System lessons and work with their parents. Parents love the improvements they are seeing in their kids. Their kids have grown tremendously since starting the Barton System and are even reading above grade level. Many parents also appreciate the support the Barton System offers. Many parents admit that the program can be quite dry at some times. Their kids often have trouble staying engaged with some of the lessons.
